There are many ways to display the related posts with thumbnails using wordpress plugins and using other widgets. Displaying related posts itself will increase page views of your blog and when related posts with thumbnails/ images will surely decrease bounce rate.

Here are four widely used wordpress pluigns for displaying thumbnails in the related posts lists.

The related posts contain the post thumbnail first and then the permalink and some post description.

This is the one that gives a very good look for your blog with a thumbnail and the related post.

4. Thumbnails with YARPP:

As such this is not a wordpress plugin. But this is customizing using the Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP) . YARPP is the best WP Plugin for the related posts. But this do donot show the post images / thumbnails. So YARPP attached with WordPress custom fields, we will get the thumbnails for the posts.
