Display Run Option on Windows 7 Start Menu

google buzz Display Run Option on Windows 7 Start Menu

Many people worry immediately when they could not see Run command option in the Start Menu. When I bought the Laptop, it was the similar experience. When I checked for the Run command, it was not there. By default this option will not be set in Windows 7.

With the Run command we can do many things immediately as it is the faster way to open or browse files.

So I explored to make it appear in the Start Menu screen. I found the simple way for that to happen. Here is a small tutorial of how to enable the option.

1. Right click on the Windows 7 Start Menu icon and choose ‘Properties’.

2. In the ‘Start Menu’ tab, click on the ‘Customize’ button.

3. Here scroll down till you see the check box “Run command”.

4. Check the check box to enable the Run command and you can see that right in the Start menu immediately !!

The same procedure applies to disable the Run command in Windows Vista or Windows XP and Windows 7.
