Protect your Passwords using Password Safe – Freeware

A user has to keep track of unlimited number of passwords in his daily life. Remembering passwords is not an easy task. And the users may try to save their passwords and other credentials of websites some where else in text form. This unencrypted storage of passwords allows your friends to spy if you use a shared computer.

So there should be some other way of storing passwords for multiple accounts. Password Safe is one such Windows application that stores and saves all your passwords for any number of websites or accounts.

Password Safe is a password database utility. Users can keep their passwords securely encrypted on their computers. A single Safe Combination unlocks them all.

There are a number of useful features in this utility making this as one of the popular freewares under security. This is very easy to use. Only thing is you have to remember one and only one ‘Master Password’.

And the rest you all need is to store all the passwords without any worry because they are encrypted and cannot be seen unless the master password is used !!

You can store username, password, e-mail and other details belonging to Banks, Internet Websites, or any thing else.

The interesting thing I found here is there is an easy method of copying the username and password just by a simple ‘Double Click’ on the Group Entry. You can see other options by Right Clicking on the entries.

There are many more options in the Password Safe Menu. It doesn’t end there. Organizing and customizing of passwords is another feature present in it.

One thing to say finally is to remember the master password without which password recovery of the stored credentials in the database is uncertain.
